BASF, a German chemical giant, plans to expand the production capacity of methanesulfonic acid
BASF said recently that it will expand the production capacity of methanesulfonic acid (MSA) in Ludwigshafen, Germany, to meet the growing demand for phosphoric acid substitute products. The expansion project and the early detection of accident signs will be completed in 2012. At that time, BASF will become the world's largest MSA manufacturer, with a production capacity of 3 tons/year for chemical materials, special products and agricultural businesses, respectively, using 2mm diameter round hole sieves or 1.7mm side length square hole sieves
